Wondering How to Apply to No Pixel? We have you covered! The first thing you need to know is, not ALL servers are created equal. And if you’re serious about RP, I seriously recommend you do your research when it comes to which servers are right for you.

Why No Pixel?
Now, why is No Pixel the most popular and highly sought-after RP server out there? Is it the quality of RPers? Maybe it’s the details the devs put into the server itself Or is it the fact that every big streamer who eventually dabbles in RP will ultimately play on No Pixel? Perhaps it’s all of the above.
Exposure
For any streamer or content creator, No Pixel is surely the dream server to RP on. Why? Instant exposure, for one. Just having “No Pixel” or “No Pixel WL” in your stream title alone is bound to get more eyeballs than someone on a smaller, competing server. There’s a reason streamers with an average of 8 or 9 viewers have an almost instant spike in viewership once accepted on No Pixel. And at any given moment, they have the possibility of running into someone like XQC. Not to mention, instant exposure to their audience of 60k+ viewers.
Popularity
Think of RP as one giant game of improv. And think of RP Servers as the different TV shows starring your favorite actors. No Pixel just happens to have all the A-list stars that every struggling actor dreams of landing a scene with. It’s no secret GTA V is one of the most viewed categories on Twitch. And it’s directly related to No Pixel and their roster of celebrity streamers. When No Pixel launched update 3.0 in February of last year, once again, GTA V shot to the top of the charts bringing in over 400,000 concurrent viewers. That’s NUTTY.
Just like every popular group in history to date, No Pixel is the group of “cool kids” everyone wants to hang out with, breath the same air as, or simply BE. And if you’re a streamer or creator, you’re in a constant state of FOMO if you’re RPing on any server that isn’t No Pixel, where you merely have the chance at brushing elbows with other streamers you idolize and desperately what to emulate the success of.
Generally speaking, the harder something is to get, or the more elite or exclusive it is, the more people want it. No Pixel is no exception. Between the intensive and somewhat vague application process to the high server queues, the percent of RPers accepted compared to the number of applicants is absolutely astounding. And with a mandatory donation for even the chance to apply, and no guarantee of acceptance, it’s clear this server is doing something right. Even if it rubs some people the wrong way. There’s no denying the massive amount of impact this server has had and continues to have on the Twitch and the RP community as a whole.
Quality
No Pixel was started by Koil, the owner, lead developer and long-time streamer and role-player. To quote Spiderman, “with great power comes great responsibility” and one can only imagine the level of talent and commitment needed to maintain a server with the popularity and reputation of that of No Pixel. The server is clearly vetted to find the best of the best when it comes to role-players who take RP to the next level. The application process might be daunting but again, No Pixel is number one for a reason. Or as it seems, several.

How to Apply to No Pixel (Public Server)
If you’re keen on trying out a public (non-whitelisted) server, you might want to start with No Pixel. Once again a public server means you do NOT need to apply to join.
- NoPixel – It’s true, NoPixel did recently release a few public servers, however I’ve heard mixed things. Sometimes the queues can be an incredibly long while at other times- not so much. There are ways to boost your priority with actual money which – I won’t get into the logistics of since it’s such a hot topic, but if that’s something you want to do, you can do so at the NoPixel store.
- You can also buy DEV Coins (an in-game currency) or extra character slots for real money as well. In the next section, we’ll discuss the (Whitelisted) NoPixel server and compare the two a little more.

How to Apply to No Pixel (Whitelisted Server)
As for the whitelisted servers, you’ve probably heard of the most popular (and in my opinion) one of the BEST ones out there as far as quality (both server-wise and RP-wise), No Pixel.
- NoPixel – is what you see all the big streamers like XQC, Summit, and Vader, playing on. For this particular server, you need to do more than just apply. You also have to donate. As the standard whitelisting has been “closed” for three years now…
- Note that donating does NOT increase your chances of getting accepted. All donors still need to apply, their applications are just processed faster. (roughly 14-30 days at the time of filming this video) Again: *DONATING DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU A SPOT ON THE SERVER*
FAQs
Be advised, you can apply a maximum of five times, and five times only. If you are denied five times, creating a new account will only get you banned. So take your time when applying and put your best foot forward. Do your research. Do your homework. Dive deep into what makes your character unique and worthy to run alongside the biggest streamers on Twitch and some of the best RP-ers in the world.
There is also a limit to how many RPers can be on the server at once. No Pixel hosts a maximum of 32 players at one time. So even if you manage to get whitelisted, when it comes to the queue… you could be waiting a while.

Tips
Write, write and write some more! Once again, take your time when applying. Do not rush the process and do NOT half-ass it in any way, shape, or form. If you’re serious about RP and serious about joining No Pixel- act like it. Appreciate the devs and admins and respect their time. To quote Steve Martin, “Be so good, they can’t ignore you”. Be the application they’ve been waiting for. The one so detailed, so captivating, so undeniably unique they not only accept you, but look forward to running into your character on the server! That’s the type of character you want. Someone impossible to ignore. Be someone memorable. But most importantly, be someone different. A character they haven’t seen before.

NoPixel vs NoPixel
- To quickly compare the NoPixel whitelisted server to the public version(s), as this server is much harder to get into, you can expect a higher quality of RPers overall. As mentioned, many are streamers. Therefore, you have a lot more eyes on various situations than you might on the public server. Also, money is worth a lot more, which is healthy for RP. This is mostly because it naturally helps the development of long-term storylines and character arcs.
- On the NoPixel site, be sure to log in with Steam or create an account and then you’ll be able to view “Announcements + Important Info” as well as the “Rules and Guidelines” and the different punishment tiers if you break a rule.
- If you wish to donate, click “donate” and choose how much you want to contribute monthly. Based on what tier of support you offer, you’ll be granted a title and then given access to the Civilian Application Template. I believe you can apply up to five times. Remember this isn’t a one-time donation but one that recurs monthly.
